[Wade's Wicked Blog II] Stopping Wind Erosion

To Government,


I have an idea to prevent wind erosion in case of a second "Dust Bowl". To prevent another wind erosion you can plant trees in a line to form a wind-break. The tree trunks and leaves on the trees will slow the wind a little bit.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] The San Fran' Earthquake

My name is Wade "THE MAID" Schmit and I'm think you might be interested in this story I have.On the morning of April 18, 1906 at 5:00 a.m. a dooming earthquake hit my home town of San Francisco. The earthquake ripped it's way 500 miles north to Coos Bay, Oregon the earthquake also stretched 400 miles south to Los Angeles, California. The town of San Francisco got damaged the most, most downtown business district burned down. As you know it was 1906 and we didn't have all the technological stuff, but the stuff we did have got broken or severely damaged. One of my old pictures of me as a child got ripped and torn. Many of my friends and family thought I should get medical attention, so they tried to persuade me to go to the doctor or someplace else. I kept refusing to go get jacked up on medications. After they quit trying I felt I had one monkey off my back. Then I finally got a chance to go get some stuff from the store that I needed that got broken. Meanwhile most people that were in the towns that got damaged were really shocked and moved out of town. I was one of those people that left town. Before I did that I said good-bye to my friends and family that hadn't already moved away to the other country side in hurricane heaven. Now here in the year of 2008 I'm 102 years old and I have a job as a chef in the all to famous Chili's. You are probably still wondering how I got the nickname THE MAID. Well I'll tell you when I was growing up I was what you would call a neat freak. I liked stuff to be my way which was neat, organized, and clean.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] New law

If I could make a new law I would make sure there were no more scams that try to get you to buy stuff that doesn't actually work on television .Therefore everybody could save money , I would also ban all the fake and cheap insurance commercials . Plus there wouldn't be anymore dial up, therefore everybody would have fast computers. That is what my law would be.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] Soil erosion

Before the water went through the soil the soil wasn't moist or eroded. After the water went through the soil there was a ton of erosion. The soil was not even wet or moist.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] My Theory

I think that the results of the experiments changed from group to group because that the fist experiment was dry soil and on the second experiment the soil was rather wet. That makes the sample and results slightly different.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] I'm on the all A-honor roll

Today January 29, 2008, I got on the first semester all A- honor roll. This is a certificate that states I got all A's for the first semester. So now I have five all A honor roll certificates. Three first semester & two second semester I also have two all year all A honor roll certificates. Now my plan is to finish the year with a first semester(which I just got), second semester, & all year all A honor roll.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] Investigate 3 summary

First, we collected all the materials. Next, we scraped our mud into a slope. Then we sprinkled water onto the slope. After that we watched as the water poured out of the tub & into our sample tube. Then we put a bucket under the tub for all the extra water to run into. After that the water formed a trench in the mud. Then, the hole in the tub got plugged.

[Wade's Wicked Blog II] Investigate 2 summary

First, we put the gravel, clay, and humus in the tub. Next, we collected sand and put it in the tub. Then, we filled our 2 liter bottle with water and put a sprinkler head on it. After that we made a hillside in the tub and poured the water on it. Then, a puddle formed at the bottom of the hill and then it overflowed. After that the water flowed out the hole & into our 50 ml. sample tube. Then, we put a bucket under the hole and waited for the rest of the water to drain out. After that my group put the rubber stopper in the hole, and the experiment joyfully ended.
